The Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee convened a meeting. It analysed the current COVID-19 situation and arranged for the strict implementation of epidemic prevention and control work. The General Secretary of the Central Committee, Xi Jinping, presided over the meeting.

The Politburo Standing Committee met on Thursday, March 17, to discuss China’s COVID-19 strategy. Here are three key points to note:
